First, thank you for taking the time to read my post, translate it and post it to your website. Translating some of the posts on my site is something I've been meaning to do for some time, but just couldn't find the time to do so.
While the merits of using either gross margins or operating margins can be debated, none of these metrics appeared in the media discussion following Rami Levi's promotion, which I found very odd. The point I tried to raise in my original post was that not only were these numbers missing from the media discussion, the type of discussion I wanted to see was entirely different altogether. I lamented the lack of insight in the media analysis concerning the strategic PR impact of this promotion and whether Rami Levi's money was well spent in getting free media coverage he otherwise would have had to spend millions to get. Eventually (about a week after my post, perhaps after reading my post... :) ) Israel's leading financial newspapers did publish an analysis of the media coverage he got through this promotion and its worth (link to that is in one of my comments to the original post).
